“Be an Encourager”
Jesus instructs us to love one another. A great way to show fellow Christians God’s Love is for us to be encouragers. There have been times in our travels when we have been away from the daily news for a few days. When we get a chance to catch up with what is going on in our world it can be disappointing and a little depressing. However, there are many things going on in peoples’ lives that can cause people to fret. Health, loneliness, conflict, loss of a loved one, employment, financial crisis, and family struggles are just a few things that can steal our joy and peace.
This gives us an opportunity as believers to be used by God as an encourager. Christians should aid, help, support and intercede for one another by comforting those who are experiencing troubles in life. When we do, it allows our faith to grow stronger and motivates us to show God’s love to others.
Are there people in your life who are discouraged and going through a difficult time? Let’s be the encouragers that God has called each of us to be, helping them to be successful and to finish this life well!
I know a pick-me up for me is when I get a text message from a Brother or Sister in Christ, telling me they are praying for me. Wow, someone interceding for me to our Lord and Savior. Praise God for my encourager.
John 13:34
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another”.
So, in your prayers today ask God to bring someone into your life that needs encouraging.
