Do First Things First
Proverbs 1:33
“First pay attention to me, and then relax. Now you can take it easy—you’re in good hands.”
Have you ever had one of those days when you felt overwhelmed or confused? Your To-Do list is so long that you don’t know where to start. You are not sure how to prioritize your day. We live in a demanding world and placing things first can be difficult. So many people are expecting so much from you. If asked for a show of hands, we probably all have had days like this.
There is a proven strategy that helps in prioritizing your day. Take your daily obligations and place them in the hands of your creator. If you prioritize your day according to God’s commandments and seek God’s will and wisdom in all matters. You do this and you can rest assured that your day is in the hands of the same God that created the universe, and He will help you in managing your own life.
James 1:5 (ESV)
5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”
Who better to help you than your Heavenly Father. With God running things you can’t go wrong. 😊 Turn the concerns of your day over to God—prayerfully, earnestly, and often. Then listen for His answer and trust the answer He gives.
Isaiah 58:11 (ESV)
11 “And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”
