Dwell in the shelter of the Most High
Psalm 91:1
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty
You might ask how do we dwell in the shelter of the Most High? You might have read Psalm 91 several times, but still not sure how to swell in the shelter of the Most High.
There are many benefits when we dwell in the shelter of the Most High.
God is our refuge; He will protect us and when we are under God’s protection then we have nothing to fear. When we are under God’s protection then we have nothing to worry about. The Psalm 91 author has been accredited to Moses. Since he wrote Psalm 90, and no author was mentioned in Psalm 91 then it is given to Moses as the author.
Moses indicated that the Lord was his refuge, and nothing could overtake him. God has the authority to assign angels to guard your ways. Verse 12 says that they will lift you up in their hands.
So, to answer how we dwell in the shelter of the Most High. First God loves us and sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. We must then accept Jesus as our personal savior. When we nurture our relationship with God by spending quality time communicating with Him through prayer and spending time reading His Word then we too can dwell in the shelter of the Most High. Nothing can separate us from the Love of God.
Romans 8:35-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
