Fear can Prevent us from Acting

Have you ever considered how fear affects our life? There are all kind of events that can cause fear in our lives. It can negatively affect our thoughts, conduct, and even physical health. Our fears can even hinder us from experiencing all that God wants to accomplish in our life.

Fear can prevent us from acting. Have we ever had to make decisions while facing fear of making the wrong choice? The risk of failure can prevent us from making decisions. Lost opportunities cause erosion of confidence, and the downward spiral begins. Fear produces anxiety, which in turn produces chaos in our lives that affect those around us.

Satan uses fear to separate us from God and prevent us from doing His will. Fear hinders us from becoming the people God wants us to be. It can hinder our belief in what the Lord wants to do in our lives. Fear can drive us to destructive habits, and it can steal our peace and contentment in life. When we are always afraid our life exhibits pessimism and gloom. It creates doubt in our lives and that is not what God intended for us. God has promised us a abundant life.

What we have to realize about our fears are, they don't come from God. Paul said to Timothy.

2 Timothy 1:7

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind

God can give you hope when your neck deep in a crisis. All you need to know is, God will never reject you. Whether you accept Him is your decision. In Isaiah it tells us that God will strengthen us and help us.

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

The Bible tells us that God will meet all our needs. He feeds the birds of the air and clothes the grass with the splendor of lilies. How much more, then, will He care for us, who are made in His image? Our only concern is to obey the heavenly Father and leave the consequences to Him. So let’s take our eyes off of our circumstances and the solutions the world offers—and instead look to God.
