Fearing God
Proverbs 1:7 (NIV)
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
What does it mean to live a life that pleases God? In Psalm 128 vs 2-6 says, “All you who fear God, how blessed you are……. Enjoy the blessing! Revel in His goodness. Stand in awe of God.
Fearing God is standing in awe of God and His Holiness. Knowing that we are flawed and in need of a savior. God offered every single one of us the same life-changing, grace. When we realize we have need for forgiveness and God gave His Son Jesus to pay the cost of our sins. He blesses us and restores us. We stand in awe of His goodness.
Proverbs 14:27 (NIV)
27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death.
We should all stand in awe of God. One day everyone will bow before God.
