Fight Your battles on Your knees

When we look at our battles in life, do we look at the battle with our physical eyes or our spiritual eyes? You might ask, what are you talking about? We all have battles in life we are fighting and if we look at them through our physical eyes they can seem daunting. What we need to do is to fight our battles through our spiritual eyes.

In work there were always battles, and if you look at them through your physical eyes you can get very frustrated with work and at times it can seem like you are fighting an uphill battle with no end in sight. However, you need to learn to look at things through your spiritual eyes. When you fight it spiritually this is when you fight your battle on your knees in prayer. Here is what happens when you fight it on your knees, the battle is no longer fought by you, but by the Lord. Wow, you mean the Sovereign Lord is fighting your battle. Yes, that is what I am saying.

How do you develop faith that is strong like this? Every challenge we have is a opportunity for the Lord to show his faithfulness to us. Look at David when he fought Goliath, the Israelites were looking at Goliath through physical eyes and were frightened by his size. Then this young boy, David came along, and he saw Goliath through spiritual eyes and he knew Goliath did not stand a chance against God. King Saul tried to tell David that he was too weak and small to fight Goliath, once again looking through physical eyes. David recalled times when the Lord helped him defeat a lion and bear that was after the flock of sheep he was shepherding. This is what we must do as we develop our faith. Recall times when the Lord fought and won our battles in the past. Remember, it is the Lord fighting our battles through us. David realized this in (1 Samuel 17:47). As we go through these battles in life on our knees it strengthens our faith muscle.

1 Samuel 17:47

47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”

We need to start the day on our knees turning our battles over to the Lord in prayer and reading His Word. If we do this, then we will start to see our battles through our spiritual eyes instead of our physical eyes.

Romans 8:31

31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

REMEMBER, if the Lord is fighting your battles, then the battle is already won. Now that is how David had great faith.
