“God has a Plan for You”

Psalm 16:11 (NIV) “11 You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”

I have always been a planner in my life. I planned for a profession, I planned for my retirement, I try to plan for as many things as I can. However, I discovered I can plan all I want, but God has an over-arching plan for my life. In Jeremiah it says God has plans for our life.

Jeremiah 29:11(NIV)

“11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

What a comfort knowing that God is Sovereign and is in control of every event that comes into our lives. God will make His plans known to us in His own time. A good example is my profession. I was able to have a career that was not even around when I left high school and went into the Navy. God orchestrated the events to lead me into the field I retired from. He led me to a beautiful wife that loves the Lord. I guess the point I am trying to make, God is planning things for you that you might not be even have a clue is out there. The important thing is to trust that God has plans to prosper you and plans to give you a hope and a future.

All we need to do is put our trust and faith in Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 16:9 (NIV)

“9 In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

As we start our week, the Lord already has your steps established, we just need to trust Him.
