God is Sufficient to Meet Our Needs

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
I grew up learning to be self-sufficient and I grew up in a culture that practiced that. The military taught being independent. I knew when my son went into the Coast Guard that our relationship would be changed, and it has. You become self-reliant as you mature in life. It is all part of growing up and getting older. It happens to people at different ages.
One of the things I have had to learn when becoming a Christian is to learn that Christ has provided everything. It was not all about me being self-sufficient, but it is because of God’s Grace and Him sufficiently meeting all my needs. In 2 Corinthians 9:8 it says it very well.
2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV)
8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
I have learned through learning life lessons not to doubt God and to put my trust in Him. So, if you are experiencing a tough time; maybe going through some losses. Look to God, put your faith and trust in Him. God is loving and is sufficient to meet all your needs.
