“God Promises His Peace”

Ephesians 2:13-14

13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,

God intends for us to experience peace in our lives. Sometimes the busyness of our days and the demands of the moment can distract us from our relationship with God. These distractions can distant us from God and when this happens, we can lose the peace that God had planned for us. God’s peace doesn’t mean we will not have struggles, but we have the presence of God’s Love.

As Christians we can have a deep, silent, hidden peace that the world does not see. This is the peace that God gives us in the “Fruit of the Spirit”.

Colossians 3:15

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace: and be thankful

The peace that God gives is different than the peace the world gives. If you have a heart that is troubled or fearful, God can give you a peace that takes away fear or troubled thoughts. God wants us to be “anxious for nothing.” God is Sovereign - He is in control of everything. When we learn to fully trust Him, then we can have peace. As we draw closer to God, the “Fruit of the Spirit” is allowed to exhibit itself in our lives.

John 14:27

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

“Fruit of the Spirit”

Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
