Is Prayer a Priority in your Life?
How is your prayer life? Is prayer a priority in your life? In our relationship with God, it is vital to have prayer as a priority. In Colossians Paul talks about how we should view prayer.
Colossians 4:2-4
2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.
Paul says that we need to be devoted to prayer. This means that we need to earnestly pray, pray continually, seek God, and keep on seeking Him, ask and keep on asking. We need to pray with a thankful heart. Then is when we tie prayer with reading God’s Word daily this is how God reveals His message for us.
There are positive benefits to our Christian Life when we are devoted to prayer.
· We will start to build an intimate relationship with God.
· We will develop a stronger faith and trust in God.
· We will start to live a life in peace and harmony with God.
· We will realize that God is the provider of our needs.
· We will grow spiritually.
When you think about it, this is the relationship you want. To have a daily relationship with our Lord and Savior. You are actually talking and listening to the Creator that is Sovereign and who is able to do anything.
There is not a need too big, a hurt to strong, or a problem to serious that God can’t handle when we bring it to God in prayer. Make prayer a priority in your Christian life.
