Jesus' Love

John 15:9 (NIV)

9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

Jesus was such a supreme example of Love that the world has ever seen. We read in the Bible of His Love that crossed barriers. The wonderful thing for us is that we can experience Jesus' Love in our lives. So many times, we humans put conditions on our love. It is easy to love certain people in our lives, but to love everyone unconditional, well that is a tough one especially during football season 😊 But Jesus was different.

Jesus sought out those who were rejected by the religious people of the time. They made fun of Him when He dined with tax collectors, fishermen, and people considered unclean by the establishment. Jesus practiced unconditional Love by giving His Life for us even when we were sinners.

Romans 5:8 (NIV)

8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

We need to practice loving people with Christ’s Love that abides in us. We can’t do it on our own strength, but with God helping us and the power of the Holy Spirit we can give it a good effort.
