“Life’s Lessons During Difficult Times”
Life can be difficult if not brutal. It can be marked by pain, loss, grief, broken relationships, and ill health. No one can avoid all of these as they are part of life’s journey. We would not be human if we did not have times when we didn’t feel desperate and in need of help.
These are the times our faith gives us hope. We know that we can lean on our Heavenly Father for power, peace, and confidence. He knows what we are going through and exactly what we need.
Matthew 5:3 (NIV)
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
When we reach these moments, we can stumble if we go it on our own. We do have a choice; we can kneel before God and call upon Him for help. It reminds me of the poem about footprints in the sand. The writer was wondering why she only saw one set of footprints when she needed Jesus most. Jesus replied, “Because it was then that I carried you.
In those times when we are desperate, we need God. He is there right beside us. He is the closest when we need Him the most.
