Overcome The Storms
Matthew 8:26 (NIV)
26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
A storm rose quickly on the Sea of Galilee and the disciples were frightened of the storm due to their limited faith. They turned to Jesus and He calmed the waves and rebuked the disciples for their lack of faith.
On occasion we like the disciples are frightened by the storms we face in life. Why do we ever fear the storms we face? The reason is that we suffer from imperfect faith just like the disciples during the storm on the Sea of Galilee.
Faith in God is our solution to the fear we face during the storms of life. Faith in God is the foundation of courage and source of power. Today let’s strengthen our faith in God that will give us the courage to face any storm we face.
Psalm 23:4 (NIV)
4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
