Souring like an Eagle
The American Bald Eagle is the symbol for our country. Terri and I have seen a couple of eagles while out hiking in the Rockies. We were able to see one of them circle along Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park as the wind carried it then it perched on a tree. I was able to get a camera lens on it. For those who worked with me, you remember my icon on skype at work was the American Bald Eagle.
In Isaiah 40 it talks about us soaring like eagles when we put our trust in the Lord. Those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength. When we trust in God and His Word, we will find our strength renewed. We will soar high on wings like eagles. We will run and not grow weary. We will walk and not grow faint.
This "soar on wings like eagles" verse helps us to understand God's heart towards those who trust him. The words of Isaiah 40:31 is one of the most famous promises in all the Bible.
Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
