“Starting Together Staying Together”
Updated: Oct 28
In our Christian walk it is great to have an accountability partner. This is someone that will help you stay committed in following Christ. Hopefully you have one. My wife, Terri is my accountability partner. We encourage each other in our walk with God. We pray together and for one another. You talk about something powerful…listen to your partner pray for you. In my case it is my wife praying for me.
Proverbs 27:17 (NIV)
17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
We often bounce what we are thinking about Jesus off each other. Sometimes I will have Terri read my devotion before posting to get her take and thoughts on what I am trying to say. We are not wired to be in isolation. We are designed to live in a community of relationships where love and friendship flow freely. This is how we build a solid foundation through honest friendships, accountability, sharing challenges, and enduring commitment.
So, if you don’t have one find you an accountability partner. We all need encouragement.
