The Good News Hasn’t Changed
Isaiah 49:6 (NASB)
I will also make You a light of the nations So that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”
After Jesus resurrection He spoke to His Disciples. He told them to go and make disciples of all nations. What does this mean?
Jesus was telling His Disciples to go spread the good news, which is the Gospel of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and then being resurrected from the tomb. The Disciples were to tell others about Jesus and then teach them how to follow and obey Jesus commands. This was the great commission that Jesus gave the Disciples.
The Good News about Jesus hasn’t changed, and we have the same task. This task is to tell others about Jesus and what He did by dying for our sins on the cross and being risen from the tomb. So, we need to share Christ’s Love with others and live a life that would be pleasing to God.
Matthew 28:16-20
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
