“The Great Healer”
We all have a few scars in our lives. I am talking about more than the scar I have from my knee replacement. There are scars of broken relationships, lost loved ones, rejection from others, failures we have had. I could go on, but you get the drift.
Healing doesn’t come easy. Sometimes our wounds have been there so long that it has become infected, and it affects other relationships in our lives. Sometimes the best way to heal a wound is to realize they exist and tell God about them and ask Him to help you heal. Besides He already knows about it.
Humbling yourself before God and admitting to Him you need His help in healing your scars is the way. Time and experience have taught me that there is nothing like living in the presence of God.
Luke 8:47-48 (NIV)
47 Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. 48 Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”
This is how we get healed. Reach out to God.
