Who do you work for?

Who do you work for? Sure, we can say I work for this company or that company. You might even work for yourself. Heck, I am retired, and my wife thinks I work for heršŸ˜Š. But have you really thought about who you work for?

I always believed I worked for the Lord. I had a regular job, but I always believed the Lord provided me my job, so I tried to take that mindset to work. If you truly believe that the Lord is your provider, and He opened the doors for you to have your job. Then it changes how you think about your job, and it changes how you do your job. You always have your boss watching you, now that is incentive when you have your Lord and Savior overseeing you at work. It changed how I viewed my job and the attitude I took to work.

1. I always prayed that I would do the quality of work that the Lord would be proud of.

2. I felt I was an ambassador for God and ambassador for my employer on my job.

3. I believed that whatever job the Lords provides, He will also equip you to do.

4. I always felt grateful to the Lord for my job.

5. I was not ashamed or afraid for the people I worked with to know I was a Christian.

6. I always felt that God was watching over me at work.

Now that should motivate you at work and empower you. So, in whatever work you do then work as if you are working for the Lord.

Colossians 3:23-24

3 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
