Why do we doubt?
As Christians we live by faith, there is so much about living the Christian life that is based on faith. And yet there are many people who have a real struggle with faith. Jesus disciples also struggled with faith, on several occasions Jesus ask them, why do you doubt? O, ye of little faith. These were men who walked with Jesus, and they still struggled with doubt. We at times have the same problem of doubting Him, and we doubt on the things we pray for.
The most exciting thing about the Christian life is the fact that you and I can have an intimate, personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ in which He intervenes and works in our life every day. As children of God, we have the privilege of approaching God and asking Him anything according to his will and we know that he hears us. So, we have two choices, believe Him, or doubt Him. How do you win? By Believing. How do you lose? By Doubting. Just that simple. We need to trust God and not doubt him.
1 John 5:14-15
14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
So, we have no need to doubt.
