Your Attitude Matters
Colossians 3:2
2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Does it seem like every day is a battle on whether or not you experience the joy that God intended for your life? We often fight with attitudes that can steal our joy. Do you struggle with thoughts that are bitter or pessimistic? If we are all honest there are some things, we deal with in our lives that trigger the wrong attitude. A couple of examples, have you ever come across anyone who is a different person after driving in work traffic? What about if your football team loses over the weekend. The point is there are things that come up that can steal our joy if we allow it. The choice is ours.
God created us in His own image and wants us to experience the abundant life. But God will not force His joy on us, we need to choose to be joyful. Each day we need to celebrate the life God has given us. Choose to Spend time with God and He will draw close to you. Spending time with God will transform your whole attitude. As we start living a more Spirit field life, we can’t help but exhibit “Fruit of the Spirit” in our lives. We do this and we will live with an attitude that pleases God.
James 4:8
8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Philippians 2:5-8
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
