“Your Thoughts Matter”
Hebrews 6:19 (NIV)
“19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,”
We often allow the worries of everyday life to overwhelm our thoughts. We easily focus on frustrations of today and uncertainties of tomorrow. We allow these worries and frustrations to steal our peace and joy in life.
Positive thoughts are important, the battle of our inner peace start with our thoughts. Our thought life is so important and in order to have a positive thought life, we need to start our day with an advantage. That advantage is to think of God’s grace on our life. No matter what we face we need to have the thoughts that God is greater than anything we are going to face. We need to guard our thoughts and don’t let the enemy put thoughts of doubt and defeat in our mindset. Every spiritual battle starts in the mind.
1 Peter 1:13 (NIV)
“13 Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.”
John Maxwell writes, “People who do not develop and practice good thinking often find themselves at the mercy of their circumstances.” That is especially true for the believer, we need to go into each day knowing we have already won with God on our side. Start each day with the thought that if God is for us, who can be against us. That kind of thinking will drive away the worries and frustrations leading us to victory over our thoughts.
Romans 8:31 (NIV)
“31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
